At the end of last week, Mazda lifted the covers off its all-new BT-50 pickup truck at the Australian Motor Show in Sydney. Now, the Japanese automaker has released three videos with static shots as well as footage from the motor show reveal. As a reminder, the BT-50 was co-developed with Ford, which also presented its proposal in Sydney, the new Ranger. The BT-50 shares its powertrains, including four- and five-cylinder diesel units and new six-speed automatic and manual transmissions, with Ford's pickup truck. German sportscar tuner, JB Car Design has upped the ante on the Lamborghini Murciélago with its new Bat LP 640 performance and styling package that will cost buyers a little over €88,000 [for the full tune] or about the same as a brand new 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera in Germany. The firm's engineers first turn their tuning attention to the Italian supercar's aerodynamics and looks. Limited to just 75 pieces worldwide, the new appearance package is inspired by the Reventon and consists of a contoured front bumper with additional side air intakes, a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, carbon fiber headlight covers, side skirts, rear bumper with side air outlets and carbon rear diffuser. The company also adds a two-piece carbon fiber rear wing, LED lights and three-piece 20" alloy wheels. JB Car Design also gives the Murciélago's interior a makeover with a combination of leather and Alcantara surfaces, carbon fiber trim, a new steering wheel and an available high-end sound syste

There's a first time for everything. For Audi, it's SEMA as this year's edition of the show will mark the brand's first ever factory-backed appearance at the annual tuning extravaganza in Las Vegas. In addition to its lineup of after sales and electronics products, Audi will put on display six-vehicles including the driver-less Autonomous Audi TTS Pikes Peak and a customized R8 Spyder tuned by STaSIS Engineering. The latter is equipped with a 5.2-liter supercharged V10 engine delivering 710-horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque, and can complete the 0 to 60mph [96 km/h] sprint in 3.1 seconds. Starting from next year, Saab will begin installing cameras on the production lines of its Trollhattan factory in Sweden giving buyers the ability to watch their cars being built online from the comfort of their homes [or office...], according to a report from British magazine Whatcar?. At first customers could receive photos and text messages showing them parts of the production process, such as the marriage of drivetrain and body, but according to Saab's global product manager Christopher McKinnon, the ultimate goal is to use live feeds. To further strengthen the brand's bond with customers, McKinnon said Saab will also offer buyers the ability to collect their cars straight from the factory next year.
